Hunts and Nature Experiences for Groups

Hunting has a long tradition at Hemmilän Tila. In addition to agriculture and forestry, hunting has been practiced on the estate for decades. Game management has been active.

Respecting nature and utilizing it sustainably has always been important to us. The tradition continues. We organize high-quality hunting and nature experiences that utilize nature sustainably, tailored to our clients’ needs.

Hunting always takes place in an organized manner, according to the instructions of the hunting leader. The goal is to provide participants with an eventful nature experience. We operate safely and adhere to all given safety and other hunting-related instructions.

We cooperate with local hunting clubs. In addition to our own staff, skilled dog handlers are used in the hunts.

Day Hunt – White-tailed Deer and Roe Deer

During the day hunt, white-tailed deer are primarily hunted. Roe deer may also be encountered at the stand. We position hunters in areas where tracking dogs can work and drive game to the stands. The dogs’ work can be followed via a mobile application from your stand.

The day hunt is best suited for groups of about ten people. Experienced dog handlers and wilderness guides ensure the smooth and safe execution of the hunt.

The hunt lasts all day.

Day’s Schedule

Breakfast and instructions from the hunting leader
1–2 hunts in the morning
Lunch at a lean-to or a cabin by a forest pond
1–2 hunts in the afternoon
The day concludes with a game review, sauna, and dinner

Evening Hunt – White-tailed Deer at Dusk

During the evening hunt, white-tailed deer are hunted. The deer hunt is carried out as a stand hunt at game gathering points. The stand locations have sheltered blinds.

During snow-free periods, the evening hunt is best in early autumn. When there is snow on the ground, the evening hunt is possible until the end of the hunting season.

The evening hunt is suitable for groups of 3–5 people.

The actual deer hunt lasts a few hours. However, it is advisable to reserve the entire day for the whole event.

The evening hunt can be combined with a daytime driven hunt with dogs.

Other Hunts and Nature Experiences

Hemmilän Tila also offers other forms of hunting, which are planned according to the group’s wishes, the season, and hunting permits. Possible hunts include moose hunting, fox hunting, and hare hunting.

On the lands of Hemmilän Tila, you can also enjoy the tranquility of nature in other ways. The animal feeding sites are well suited for observing animals. Forest roads and forests offer excellent opportunities for outdoor activities. In the autumn forest, you can pick berries and mushrooms.
